World War I Combat Art of Fred Mayo
Nov. 8 & 9th from 1-4PM.
We are exhibiting the Combat Art of Fredrick Mayo.
He was a Doughboy from Fall River MA, in France during WWI. He was a member of the 26th infantry division...AKA the Yankee Division. He received the Silver Star and Purple Heart. His son John Mayo is one of our board members and is sharing his fathers sketches with the public. His art is striking in its authenticity and originality, he had to set up a special carrying apparatus to keep his ink and papers clean and dry while running in combat.
In addition we will be exhibiting WWI military artifacts, weapons, uniforms and accoutrements. The exhibit is open and free to the public... donations gratefully accepted as they will help us in our restoration efforts.

The Happy Hookers of Middleboro put on a display of their Rug Hooking talents.
The Fall River Public Library held a Childrens Christmas Party.
