Singer / Songwriter

Although his renegade style seems to belie his strong family values, Paul's songwriting is actually a rich reflection of both. In addition to taking an active role in the Nashville Songwriters Association International, Paul is active in his community as an officer of his local American Legion and VFW, and is a devoted husband and father.

Paul names among his influences Don Barnes, Danny Chauncey and Donnie VanZant (38 Special), Johnny VanZant, Ronnie VanZant, Ed King, Jeff Carlisi, Gary Rossington, Rickey Medlocke, Mark Matejka and Hughie Thomasson (Lynyrd Skynyrd), the late Steve Gains and Al Collins (Lynyrd Skynryd), Jim Peterik and Jeffrey Steele. Paul plays Takamine guitars and Gibson Guitars.

Paul's family moved to a small rural community when he was 3. As a result, Paul has deep roots in the rural lifestyle. In his early years, Paul's stepfather introduced him to the guitar by playing folk music.

After high school graduation, Paul was a paratrooper in the military. After the military, Paul did some acting in California, landing a part in Hell Raiser III and various commercials. Paul then returned to his roots in small-town, rural Illinois and was able to fully explore and re-discover his love for music and his talent for singing and songwriting.

Paul's love for southern rock music starts with songwriting and extends to the performance itself, both ways of sharing his special and unique talent.

Paul has performance dates in Nashville, and he looks forward to a long and satisfying career writing, singing and sharing his music, and hopes you'll visit the website often and come see him perform!

Being a disabled Veteran, Paul understands what a difference we can make in the lives of others, and is willing to donate his time doing some benefit concerts. Please E-mail Paul for more information.
